This may sound like a dumb question...
My H and I keep our dog on a pretty strict schedule because that's when he's happiest and we never have any problems with him (he's seriously the easiest dog in the world). However, we're not sure what to do in the evenings when we know we'll be out during the time we usually give him his dinner and after-dinner potty break.
We usually give him half what he would have at dinner as an early meal, then take him out before we leave and give him the rest and his potty break when we get home, crating him in between. This seems to work okay for him, but any suggestions?
We know that most of this is really just our own worry about him feeling hungry or really have to go!
