How did the pear juice do? Did L have some quality evacuation? Mr. E is still straining and producing his crazy green poops, so we're going to try some juice today but I wanted to see if it's working for you.
Re: ruby soho
molly had "formula poops" too, the harder type poops. Our ped suggested prune juice, and it worked for Molly. Once Mr E is around 6 months you can add cereal and mix it with prune juice.
Molly also was on the gentle ease formula, we had the best luck with similac, even though we tried the target brand. It could also be a phase, a sign that his digestive system is maturing...
i should also say my pedi said you are aiming for peanut butter type consistency. I've never looked at PB the same since that day. have you talked to your pediatrician yet? they tend not to recomend prune or pear juice until the kiddos are 4 months old because of their weakened immune system so I'd clear it with them first.
Now that I thinka bout it we started on similac gentle (or whatever it is called) and ended up going to good start. good start has pro biotics in it and her digestive system really liked having those in it...they break down the proteins more and that helped with constipation
