Re: when would you go for fluids?

  • should mention no pee since when he woke up this am i know he hasnt been puking long but hes only thirty four lbs i have posting on my phone . i just dont want to wait too long to take him
  • does he have tears still- no pee since yesterday? I would not try anything until he hasn't thrown up for an hour or so- then try some fluids- If still nothing then I would take him in tonight- just to be safe, but the pedi will be able to tell you better-

  • I wouldnt give water, maybe try pedilyte ice pop. When my kids both had the stomach virus, we couldnt give them anything to drink at all. Or they puked like 5 minutes later. We waited almost the entire day to see if it would stop, gave them a little pediltye pop around 7pm, and they kept that down and then they were OK when they got up. It was like their bellies just couldnt handle anything
