where to take 3 year old to have fun
Want to take our DS out tomorrow, as he has been stuck in house last few days. Live in Monmouth county, any good ideas? Seems like not too many options in winter.
Re: where to take 3 year old to have fun
we took the kids to the American Museum of Natural History. Took an hour, 20 got there when it opened, zoomed up to the dinosaurs, no one there yet, got tickets for the butterflies at 11:15, walked around and looked at the mammals, had lunch, saw the butterflies, saw the ocean stuff and went home
We love the Camden Aquarium, we leave to be there when it opens, check out the hippos 1st, then the sharks (most people do them last because they are the last lettered exhibit most people start with A) then we have an early lunch before the crowds come, we do the rest of the stuff and then hit the road.
Jenkinsons aquarium is much much smaller but its a good hour, you can go to the arcade in winter too
I got the flu from the Please touch museum last Feb. so I have bad feelings about that place. I felt like it was way too crowded for us on the weekend with 2 little ones.
If we get a decent day I would rather hit the Philly Zoo down the street. Takes about hour 40 to get there from Mon. Cty
Crayola factory is supposed to be fun, but we havent gotten there yet
My neighbors went to IPlay and there wasn't much there for 3-4 year olds to do.
Jenks aquarium, Camden aquarium, library, bookstores, Freehold mall has a play area and carousel, Toms River has the Insectropolis.
