My 10 year old anondized T-Fal set is biting the dust--coating is coming off and the handles are coming apart and so I'm looking for a new set. We have an electric stovetop if that makes any difference but hope in the next few years we can convert to gas. I really like the non-stick nature of T-Fal and it's low maintenance for cleaning as well. I'd love to buy Le Creuset, but not sure if the price is justified, although people rave about it and I do love our Le Creuset dutch oven and how easily it cleans up! I don't think I want stainless, because my perception is it doesn't clean easily. Any recommendations?
Oh DH says he wants something that can go in the dishwasher...I've always told him he can't put my pots/pans or knives in the dishwasher...so while he wishes for that, that's not necessarily part of my criteria
Re: Recommend a cookware (pots/pans) set
Ditto this, I never thought I would buy cookware with a celebrity chef's name on it, but I have been very happy with the stainless pot set we got recently to replace some old aluminum stuff. I would say it is comparable to the couple All-Clad pieces I have. I think it lasts a lot longer than the nonstick and it does well in the dishwasher.
