In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Gah, lost my SS card and starting a new job tomorrow!
WTF am I supposed to do, don't I need it for Payroll? I have my old card but it's in my maiden name. I have the paperwork to prove I GOT one in my married name. I have my birth certificate , my passport, my driver's license... I know I can get a replacement card, but will I be ok for tomorrow?! This is what. Get for procrastinating.ive been home for two weeks and didn't go to get everyto g together until today!

Probably fine. But it's been nearly 12 years since I started a new job and I don't remember what they needed

If you've got a passport you dont need the SS card. I actually need to figure out if an expired passport is ok, although I realized its in my maiden name anyway so I'll be better of doing my SS card and license.

For whatever reason, my company requires verification of the card or the notice that it was applied for. We're non profit and are audited frequently by many governing bodies, so perhaps that is why. It seems to not be the norm based on other responses. We've never turned anyone away on Orientation day but the Controller would probably not pay the person until some proof of SS number was verified. But like I said we're a strict non profit and are a bit different.
