Question on monitors for all you mammas...
Hi ladies...since we are finally settling in at home we are purchasing some of the remaining items we need and one is a baby monitor. What are you all using and do you like it? B is sleeping in our room right now so it hasn't been much of an issue but we would like to transition to crib in the coming month or so.

B born 1/3/2012, adoption finalized 12/27/12

BLOG
we have the same one, no complaints!
Same here. We got this one because it was one of the top rated in Baby Bargains and all the online resources I checked.
We have this one as well but I don't like it.....it doesn't hold a charge and one of ours doesn't work at all now even when plugged in. I have no idea why and P is only 8.5 months old, it should still work. And I can't just replace the batteries because they are the rechargeable ones that plug in to it.
you for sure should call the company. they should send you out some new batteries.
we have the fisher price lights and sounds for dominic which i like because it lights up if we want to have it turned down. i don't even know what we have for riley, someone gave it to us. it does the same thing though. i don't have anything with a fancy video camera
We are currently using the Summer Infant Day and Night video monitor. I love it. It has video and audio...but you can turn down the audio and it still lights up. Also, the video will turn itself off to save battery which is nice. I've never had an issue with the battery going dead either. We just charge it over night when we sleep. It also has the ability to have 2 cameras...but you'd have to change the channels manually.
That said, since I am getting ready to have DS I really wanted a monitor that automatically scanned multiple cameras. Since we've had such great luck with our current monitor, we wanted to stick with Summer Infant. We went with Baby Touch. We haven't used it yet...but have set it up and love it too.
If interested, we are planning to sell our current monitor on craigslist...just haven't listed it yet. PM me if you want more info.
Good luck!
