Are you getting teachers a V-day gift?

I got the class name list for daycare and it also lists the teachers and aides names on it.

I was going to give them vday..but I don't need to do a gift for them do I?

Re: Are you getting teachers a V-day gift?

  • I got little boxed teacher chocolates from Target
  • I am a teacher and very rarely do I get a gift, nor do I expect...The kids usually give me a card with an attached lollipop or candy as they do to their classmates!  That's plenty....Sometimes I get a personal note which is cute!

  • I don't know - I usually do a little sweet gift but when we got the list of student names it says at the bottom that we're to send no gifts or food. Not sure if that means teachers too? Definitely a card.

  • that should read V-day card. Maybe I'll get them a small plant or flower.
  • My students usually give me a card and mini chocolates or a $5 coffee card.
  • I (as a teacher)  have never gotten a Valentine?s Day gift from parents, just a homemade card. I actually wrote a note home that I do not need gifts as much as the thought is nice, it would be better if we got gift cards to staples so I can use it for supplies for the class room.  I know money is tight right now and homemade items mean more to me than anything store bought. We are making the parents heart shaped pancake/ fruit salad breakfast as a fundraiser for St Jude?s. We picked the charity as our community service project for the spring.

  • I generally buy a small thing of chocolates or something. This year I may do cupcakes cause S's room has 7 teachers and 3 have been joking that they want a cake from me (because they thought M's cupcakes/cake were cute)
  • Maybe a DD card for $5, but nothing huge.

  • Just a homemade card and a few Hershey kisses like we did for the rest of the class.

  • Just a card and a small box of chocolate.  I saw these cute hershey apples in CVS so maybe something like that.  Nothing big at all.
  • Probably just the little boxes of Teacher chocolates I've seen, nothing elaborate.
  • I get something small.  Especially this year since Corey's teacher has been absolutely positively beyond awesome.
Where in world would you like me to ship you? image My boys - I am so screwed in about 7 years. What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? LIPSTICK !
  • when they were in daycare a little something sweet, now that they are both in elementary school, no just a card for the kids.
  • A canister of good hot chocolate. That's her go to drink instead of coffee or soda.
