Re: Totally random Clicky POLL
There isn't a right answer, but you can have a star anyway! I'm just curious because I've heard it so many different ways, mostly Tiger and Monkey and sometimes Spider. Wiki has all sorts of wacky versions listed.
Well, the version my grandma used isn't quite appropriate. Let us just say it is along the lines of a really bad name for a Brazil nut.
lol.....thanks for the star, but I always thought it was only tiger, never heard it any other way before!
I want to hear Rox's version!
Well, what did ya call those big black nuts in mixed nuts everyone avoids?
My step grandpa also uses this version and another one that I also think is offensive. I have heard a few older people use both of these version. They other is an offensive term for a gay person.
BTW I was taught tiger and DH was taught lion.
Macadamias? But those are white.
ETA: I had to Google it because we called Brazil nuts, Brazil nuts. I'm up to speed now.
My grandma called those nuts the same thing, WonderRed, it rhymes with tigger(the pooh character). I do not want to say it, cause it is offensive, but Grandma's were raised differently
Frankly I'm surprised I never heard that version, since both my parents were raised in the South, pre segregation, and my mother is not at all shy about making totally inappropriate comments about peoples race, ethnicity, and religion.
