DH and I will be flying from Santiago to Ushuaia with an 8 hour connection in Buenos Aires. I'm assuming we'll need to clear customs since we're going between Chile and Argentina. Will we do this in Buenos Aires or Ushuaia?
Re: Customs Question
If you're connecting through the same airport, I'm not sure about customs, but you'll definitely go through immigration. And if you're flying through EZE, you'll also have to pay the reciprocity fee if it's your first visit in 10 years.
However, even if you clear customs in Buenos Aires, you'll have another customs check in Ushuaia, because they have strict rules about not carrying foreign plant/animal matter into Tierra del Fuego.
