Read somewhere that if a child refuses to go to her parents for permission on her abortion, law enforcement gets involved by going to the home and informing the parents of their daughters request? Does this then mean the child is allowed to abort or is it up to the parents to then give permission?
Anyone clear on this?
Re: ? about prop 4...
It says that written notice can be provided, for example when a parent accompanied the minor to an office exam.
It also states that a parent or guardian could be sent a written notice by certified mail return receipt as requested by the physician. An additional copy by first-class mail. Under this method, notification would be presumed to have occurred as of noon on the second day after written notice was postmarked.
I didn't see anything about them going to the home. There are exceptions also such as medical emergencies.
