How to properly store your fabric and other storage tips.

Hi guys, I took some time to write out how to properly maintain your fabric to keep it in good condition. Check it out.

Re: How to properly store your fabric and other storage tips.

  • Why hello, nice to meet you.  Would you like to tell us something about yourself and actually join this group, or is this some type of spam?  I admit I won't click on your link until I know it's not just spam.

    Ditto.

  • Well I'm sure tips on how to properly store our fabric is something NONE of us know about!

GIRLS! Don't be so mean. Read her link. I mean she DID take the time to sign up and make one post with a link to her blog that I'm sure she gets nothing from.

(OP, that's sarcasm. But feel free to come back and participate in discussions like a normal board member.)

  • I clicked, and it is not spam, just a nice blog post about storage.

    To OP.... Welcome!

People tend to be suspicious because we get a lot spammers who use a 'come see my blog ploy'.  It is usually their first post on the board.

Post photos here, tell us about yourself and what crafty things you are interested in....and thanks for the tips.

Oh we know, it's just the "visit my blog" and that's it that's annoying. Couldn't have put a few pictures in? Intro post? Something else???

(I apologize for my rotten mood. My MIL had to put her dog down this morning, one of my favorite pups in the world, so I'm overly emotional about that and taking it out at random.)

Don't worry, emo, I think most of us agree with you.  TheBridesMom is just more forgiving than the rest of us :)

OP, hope you'll join the community here.  As you can understand, we're not big on people posting just to get blog hits and since this has been your one and only post here, we have no other way to interpret your intent.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • Always, Always, Always post a picture in the post--then you don't look like you are just trying to get blog hits.  This is pretty much true for most of the nest boards :)  Many boards also have "blog days" and posting your blog posts outside of those days is seen as hit-fishing...so lurking around before posting might save you some grief.

The comic book technique is a very popular organization technique and something I plan to do when I finally set up my proper craft room.  The only thing I would advise you on is not to use the paperclips.  Paperclips are prone to rusting and could possibly ruin your fabric.  Straight pins or safety pins might be a better option.
