I had a pretty good weekend.
Saturday we did the last of our family's Chinese New Year celebrations. My immediate family came to my house for lunch, and then we all went to my aunt & uncle's house for dinner. Unfortunately the evening ended in an all-out screaming match with my crazy mom, but we made up on Sunday so all's well that ends well?
Sunday DH and I went to the Museum of Science in Boston and checked out the Pompeii exhibit, saw some cool geckos, and just had a great afternoon hanging out together. Then we watched the Superbowl with my parents and sisters and had a good cry after the game (kidding).
Weekend was good.
Friday I did my normal errands-grocery shopping, appointments and cleaned the house.
Saturday-got my car an oil change and a much needed car wash. Then cleaned our area rugs (yah so gross) but now they look good as new! Then I baked and cooked up a storm for what I thought we were going to visit my SIL and the babies, however we did not.
Sunday-went for a 4 mile run and then made some goodies for the Super Bowl. Watched the Super Bowl. Glad the Giants won but both teams were playing not that great. I really expected a blow out but it was a close game. The commercials were horrible and Madonna was ok (better than the BEP from last year).
Oh and our washer is making a grinding noise during the washing stage so I have to call the service repair for that. Worries me the washer we have is less than 6 mos old.

I had a pretty fabulous weekend.
Saturday I helped host a surprise retirment party for my MIL. It turned out great. She had no idea and was really excited. The weather was beautiful and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.
Saturday night we went to dinner for our friends birthday.
Sunday, DH was shooting another long range match and he won first place again!!!! I am so freaking happy for him. He had also bet his friend that shoots with him about who would place higher and won $100.
2 of my squares won on the SB game yesterday. I walked away with $200. Mama wants to go shopping!!

Saturday-our friend from Germany was visiting Wellington on her 6 week tiki tour of NZ. I also hosted an afternoon tea for some girlfriends b/c DH was at the Rugby 7's tournament.
Sunday-took our German friend to brunch at a beach cafe, laundry.
Monday-Waitangi Day, which means public holiday and no work. Grocery shopping, entertaining a teething, tired, and somewhat grizzly DS.
On Saturday, I drove my mom and Rose to the Vacaville factory outlets because there was a good sale on baby clothes at Carters. Rose got a ton of clothes, my mom bought a Coach purse and I got squat for myself. It was still a fun day.
We watched the Superbowl on Sunday and pigged out on lots of food.
We had a great weekend...Friday we went out to dinner with our friends and their 18 month old baby.
Saturday we went to the movies and saw Hugo which was really good. Then we took the dogs to the park to run around. I cooked a yummy dinner that was basically a chicken picatta, and then made homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert because I was craving dessert! We just hung out watching Weeds.
Sunday we washed all 3 cars-I washed, he vacuumed, and then I made buffalo chicken dip for the game and after he made bratwurst and sauerkraut.
We had a really nice weekend together...Feels like it's been too long.
Saturday we hung around the house in our PJs all morning. DH went to a Stanford Basketball game and I made Pot Roast for dinner.
Sunday we went to mass and then out for lunch. Picked up chicken manure and while Q slept and DH got a haircut, I cleaned out the raised beds and worked in the manure (looks like great timing with the rain finally coming). I also made brookies for one of my classes for 100% turning in a signed grade report. Then Q decided he wanted to go bike riding during the Super Bowl and we went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. After Q went to bed, DH did the laundry and we watched the Bowl on TV.
Better late than never! We went to San Diego to find an apartment, and we put a deposit down on the 3rd place we saw. It's about 1.5 miles from DH's work, so he could walk or take public transportation. I'm kind of so-so about it. I don't love it, but it's very conveniently located, and has a few other pluses going for it. We signed a year's lease so we'll see how we feel about it next March.
