Can't get over the Susan/Josh Powell story

My jaw just dropped when I heard he blew up his house with himself and the two boys in it. I just cannot fathom how someone could do that to such young, innocent children. Susan's family apparently thinks the sons were starting to talk about the night their mom went missing and he was nervous it would implicate him.

People never cease to amaze me. Awful.

Re: Can't get over the Susan/Josh Powell story

  • Such a horrible, incomprehensible story. I feel especially bad for the boys' maternal grandparents, and also that social worker. Ugh. An absolute nightmare.
  • My husband and I were talking about this briefly this morning. I just can't wrap my brain around it. He was obviously not all there mentally if he thought killing his kids was a good option.

Those poor kids. So, so sad.

i was thinking the same thing. especially the social worker. can you IMAGINIE that

  • I didn't hear anything about a social worker...off to Google.

Nevermind. I see that it was supposed to be a supervised visit with her.

  • Him doing this just proves he was guilty.  It's so upsetting.  He could have just killed himself, why did he have to take the boys too?  None of this was their fault and yet they suffered the most.
  • And the maternal grandparents too. First to not know what happened to their daughter and then to lose the boys, ugh. Makes me nauseous.
