What was on your menu last night?
I had some amazing new dishes that I tried: creamcheese stuffed strawberries, and used some of the left over strawberries for lime jello shots!!
Also, we had brought back from our lovely trip to IL in Indy Gino's Deep Dish Chicago Pizza--which I love and adore, it was delish!!
How about you? Any good new party recipes last night?
Re: What was on your menu last night?
Everything in your first paragraph sounds amazing.
We didn't have a party, but I made 7-layer dip for H. Also made a parmesan-crusted pork tenderloin filet that's been taking up space in the freezer.

Oven Chili dogs (pinterest)

They were OK. The buns got pretty hard and you had to eat them with a fork. I think I would rather just have a regular chili dog, but I did like the concept of just throwing it in the oven and not having to cook the chili and hot dogs separately.
And cheese fries...with this cheese sauce...

It was really, really good. I added Lawry's and some cayenne pepper to it to give it a little bite. Without those it kind of just tasted like a cheese sauce you would put on Macaroni & Cheese.
We felt pretty gross afterward, but I guess that's what the super bowl is all about!
I tried two pinterest recipes that I'd been holding onto for awhile:
Baked Lightened Up Crab Rangoon
http://traceysculinaryadventures.blogspot.com/2012/01/baked-crab-rangoon.html
These were SO good, but it is hard to get the air bubbles out, and they end up opening up and leaking a bit while baking. I took a tip from the recipe review, and used a mini muffin pan and that helped a TON! Would definately make again, and super easy...I had never used won ton wrappers before either, and now have tons of ideas!
Weight Watchers Cream Cheese Brownies

The pecans gave them a weird flavor, I would omit going forward..otherwise very good!

We had these chili dogs as well. The buns on ours were a little hard at the corners but otherwise fine. We didn't need forks either. My DH loved them and so did my in-laws. I thought they were ok...but I'm not a big hot dog person.
We also had "fired" pickles, nacho cheese and tortilla chips, and cream cheese and salsa tortilla roll-ups. The "fried" pickles were my favorite!
