I'm a DD but a 32DD.  Basically the same boobie size as a 36C but DD just sounds so much bigger than C (even though they can be equivalent).  Band size has a lot to do with it.  I'm always preaching about this on the fashion forum.

ITA.  I certainly don't look like I'm a F cup - but it's because I'm a 32.  My friend who is a 36DD always comments that hers are bigger than mine - and they are but my cup size is higher so it gets confusing when you don't know.
