Dr. Clachko OB patients

I remember a post from a few years ago when Dr. Cho left the practice and I *think* some of you ladies went to Dr. Clachko afterwards, so I have a question for you.

I was originally with Dr. Clachko, went to Dr. Cho (I liked her better) and now going back to Clachko...ANYWAY...did you find his bedside manner/patience was better with him being your OB rather then your gyn?  Tonight is my first appointment since finding out I was pregnant and while I know I can ultimately switch OB's if I'm not happy...I'm hoping he takes more time/more understanding than I remember him in the past.

Ugh...sorry if that seems confusing...I dont think I can explain myself without writing a book.

Re: Dr. Clachko OB patients

  • Dr clachko was my ob when pg with my twins. He def is not a hand holder at least for me not at first and I was taken aback. But as I progressed I think he got better and took more time to answer my concerns.

It's funny bc I never liked Cho. I felt she was always in and out and never listened to me.

     Good luck

  • When Cho left I was beyond upset. I was five months along though so I stayed with the practice. I have to say I am so glad I stayed with ckachko!  No, he is not warm and fuzzy but I had such a great experience with him. He really loosened up as I saw him more and more and by the time I gave birth he was cracking jokes and really nice!

The whole thing taught me that bedside manner is not everything and I don't need a girlfriend as a dr necessarily. He did an awesome job with my surgery and made me feel totally at ease.
