What type of nasal aspirator?

did you just use the bulb that you squeeze, or did you have the battery operated one?  I was thinking of getting a good one for the new baby since the bulb always grossed me out.  Any suggestions?

We got this one.  I made DH do it, but we thought it worked the best for when she was really congested.

I made him do it too. But I feel like it didn't work as well.  Maybe he will try again.

  • The one we took from the hospital is the best.  I've tried so many others.  I even had my friend steal a few for me when she gave birth recently.
  • I swear by the Nose Frida as well!

  • We have the Snotsucker from Nose Frida. I cannot recommend it enough. Seriously, NOTHING will do as good a job. And it isn't as gross as it sounds.

  • If you need tips, just ask. It takes some practice. You need to move the part that goes into their nostril around and perfect your suck (hehehe) but it really does work wonders. And K loves it. When she's sick she'll ask me to suck out her snot.
  • I must be doing something wrong with the thing then. B screams like I am pouring cyanide up her nose when I try to aspirate her, thats why I got it. Thought it would be a little bit more gentle but I have a hard time holding it in her nose, holding her arms down trying to keep her from yanking the thing out.
