My turn!

Angus is getting so old, but is still a lovable tank. His snoring has me climbing the walls most nights, but I do not have the heart to throw him out of the bedroom. He's been there since the first night we brought him home from the rescue. He loves Shane to pieces, but I think he's a little bit shell-shocked by the amount of noise a two year old makes, so we keep a real close eye on the two of them.

Lola is still crated whenever we aren't home, and sometimes when we are. Despite two different behaviorists, she cannot be trained not to counter-surf or swallow inappropriate items. She knows how to get cabinets open, and that can be scary when her preferred things to chew are bottles of cleaning products. She's lucky she's cute and soft, because I've wanted to kill her on numerous occasions over the last year or two. She injured her knee a few weeks ago, but seems to have made a full recovery (only a strain of the ACL).

Sidney is still the perfect dog. She loves the boy and she never gets into trouble. I'm contemplating therapy dog training for her, I think she would be wonderful for it.

Me- finally finished school in August and passed my boards in November. Today was my first day at my dream job and I love it!

  • Lola is a great example of why I'm glad I don't have a smart dog! Congrats on finishing school and the new job!

  • Congrats on the new job! Whoo hoo!
  • So glad the new job went so well today. Glad to hear an update on the pups I wouldn't know what to do with a counter surfer.
  • Hi, Hi! I'm glad that things are going well and you found your dream job.

  • Glad to hear things went so well on your first day at the new job!  Re: countersurfing-I think we'd have a bigger issue if Georgie or Eddie were bigger.  Georgie can reach stuff that's close to the edge of the counter, so as long as we keep stuff pushed far back we're okay.  And Eddie's too scared to try to get into trouble (oh, anxiety issues) so as long as we don't leave food on the coffeet table where its easily reached he manages to be a good boy.
