Yup, I'm the evil one who will say it (Re: Prebabyblog baby)

It has to kill Ms. focus on my looks/weight/every picture of me has zits and cellulite photoshopped out to have a baby with a birthmark right in the middle of her forehead.

Re: Yup, I'm the evil one who will say it (Re: Prebabyblog baby)

  • But she is super cute (and much bigger than I would have expected!). Can't wait to hear the birth story.
  • She is really cute! I don't think any person (even her) could photoshop their baby. I actually commented on her birthmark because my dd was born with the same one. I think she finally is figuring it out and motherhood changes you in an instant.

  • Wink I wouldn't put it past her....  But yes, very cute baby.. My sister was born with an "angel kiss" on her right cheek.... you'd never know it now until she gets sunburned or blushes really bad. I think it's cute.

  • I confess, something like this did cross my mind as well (as a mom whose DD has two birthmarks on her face). Her DD is *adorable* and I'm really glad she wasn't tempted to Photoshop her any differently.

  • I had the thought cross my mind. She's a cutie though. My DD#1 had a hemangioma in the same place between her eyebrows & thought she was the most beautiful baby in the world. :o). But honestly I worried big time in the following months about it growing into some huge thing (they can)...probably more than I should have. And I'm no model who takes extreme pride in my looks. Those pink birthmarks only fade--I think I would not have worried so much about one of those.
  • she is beautiful and I love her hair - it reminds me of Violet's when she was born.

Oh, and miss "no artificial nipples" has a pic of her kid with a pacifier in. And wearing sposies.

  • How about the tiny pads and almost no bleeding, ummm what?  I'm also not sure how the birth was nothing but 'magical'.  I can't wait to hear her birth story!!!

  • Lizzie has the same mark, I think it's cute obviously
  • I think her daughter is adorable:-)

  • I just have to say that all you girls are awesome!  I know none of you "like" Ms. Prebabyblog, but you still are so gracious and considerate of her as she is humbled by new parenthood.

PS So I checked it out and she is a cute newborn and such a good size considering how little her mom looked at full term.

Are you united with the CCOKCs?

  • I agree that the baby is cute and I too am glad that she didn't go crazy with photoshop on any of them ... it's nice to see "real" pictures of all of them where they don't look impossibly smooth and glowing ... both she and her DH have a tired, real look about them in the pictures of them at home.  Not that I wish that she looks bad, just that it's nice to know that they look like the rest of us do when it's too exhausting to put every picture through photoshop.

It will be interesting to see how her posts shift or don't shift over the next year or so ... will we continue to see Alexis as the focus or will we see her start to long for her old, carefree days of yachts and mansions and parties and all the other things that she used to love to do?  Hopefully a nice balance.  She does seem very happy, which I'm so glad to see.
