about the "re-intro/update posts" that have popped up today in a rare abundance...
Are these the "OP"s (Original Pesties) that I have heard so much about? I've only been around since October-ish and if these are the "OP"s I think they're pretty awesome.
I think one mentioned they had a few beers with dinner, and it's Monday - so this is AWESOME in my book! (especially since I've been visiting Margaritaville today - today is my weekend!)
Sorry if this is so random! But I've heard so much about some of the "OP"s, just never knew their SNs! I'm kinda excited!

That may be me you're referring to that mentioned beers with dinner...and yeah, I had girls night dinner at a German restaurant so beer is pretty much required (in my book, at least). Today is the last day of my weekend (I work Tues thru Fri) so I have to send it off with a bang, right?
YES! That's what I'm doing, too! I work Tuesdays through Sundays - usually I get another day off somewhere in there (the next two weeks are an exception, this will be my only day off for 2wks). Mondays are the only day H and I have off together - so we make it worth while!
My husband and I usually have Mondays off together too, but he just started a new job and is training today. We should be back to business as usual next week though!

No legend - but there should be! All I've heard is there was a group of 'gals who were AWESOME and everyone misses them and wishes they were back - and TADA! Here you all are! It's like Kung-Fu Panda when Po meets the Fab Five! ( yes - I just related this situation to a children's animated film!)
A long, long time ago there were many fewer boards on the nest. I'm talking 2005 and 2006. I came to the board at that time as a newlywed. Now there are tons more boards and so I think the people have diluted and distributed to other boards (guilty) or have had kids and moved onto the bump or are just busy in their lives.
It is weird. After being on the board for a few years, it got to be a little repetitive, and I'm finding the same thing with the cooking board. There is a ton of knowledge to share, though, so I should come back in earnest more often and do so. THe challenge is, however, coming off as an @$$hole 'newbie knowitall' when in fact that is not the case, kwim?
And I'm here tonight because my H is OOT for work.
