Anyone use cabbage leaves for engorgement?

I spent over a month weaning A and my body is still producing milk.  This never happened with L.  I am so engorged I am worried I am going to get an infection.  I am walking around with ice packs on my boobs and now I have cabbage leaves on them.  It is helping the pain but it has been a few days already.  Do these really work.  Any other ideas?

I am surprised no one has invented a pill to dry up ones milk in this day and age.

  • Cabbage leaves worked the best for me.  The icepacks and frozen peas didn't do much.

  • Sudafed is supposed to be really great at drying up milk-i think it's "contraindicated" when BF for that reason.

  • Take an antihistamine to help dry it up... and cabbage leaves helped me a lot - but they smelled, lol. It works though - took me a few days but I kept on a tight sports bra with the cabbage leaves or ice packs inside and it felt so much better

  • I was amazed at how well cabbage leaves worked.  They don't smell great, but they helped ease the pain so much that I didn't care how it smelled.  I kept it in the fridge so the leaves were cold when I put them on, which also helped.
