found out a girl in lexi's school has leukemia :-(

We got a notice yesterday about it with information about the family's blog and ways to donate meals to them... I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since yesterday - she's in the preschool class and I've never met her but it still hits 'close to home' and I just feel so bad. I couldn't imagine... and I just have to think when I get frustrated becuase of lack of sleep due to my kids teething, or fever, or stomach bug - I should count every blessing that that's ALL they are dealing with.

Please keep this little girl in your prayers.

  • that's rough. a friend's 4 year old daughter was recently diagnosed...she is doing really well with the first phase of treatment, which is good to see...the treatment is rough sledding, but the really good news is that the cure rate is very, very very high...most kids do just fine.

  • Oh my...I cannot imagine having to go through that with a child. Many many prayers for your daughters classmate.
  • My childhood friend's daughter has Leukemia - you live up north, right? I wonder if it is the same person. I'm calling today to set up an appointment to donate blood - It's all I can think about since I found out last week. She is around the same age as Henry - I can't even begin to imagine... Thoughts and prayers to the girl and her family regardless :(
