Union County Nesties..Running trails?

I work in Union off Morris Ave and I am looking for a park or trail where i can run during my lunch break-anyone know of any to recommend? I've tried looking on map my run but haven't been successful. Thanks!

I second Nomahegan! Though...the last time I was there...I believe a man was just peeing in the woods but...I'm not really sure...all I know is...he was caught with his pants down and I high-tailed it out of there!

That's not far from our first apartment in springfield off of morris ave.  If you need to do speed work, there's a park on Meisel Ave with a track where I use to run.

that is def your best option, since the other parks mentioned are really out of the way

You are not too far from Kean University, do they have an on campus trail/bike trail you could run on? Might be worth looking into.

There's Briant Park in Summit but depending on which side of Union you're on it could be far.

They have a track around the football field-I was going to see if it was open to the public but not too hopefull. This would be the best option for me..otherwise Meisel ave park is the closest.

WooHoo...just called the alumni association there and I can use the track! Yippee...I'll be sooo happy to get my runs in at mid day rather than at night.
