Maybe I'll go watch it online...
We watched it last night. It was just really weird. I feel like they're seriously stuck and there's no forward motion with these characters. I thought the execution of telling the story of what happened at the party in 3 rooms was really just strange.

I agree with all of this. Especially them being "stuck". I really do feel like the writers are just biding their time until they can introduce the mom. It sucks.
