Powell boys murder story is just too troubling to stomach

The latest turn this story has taken is just unthinkable. Not only did the dad kill himself and his boys in a house explosion... he took a hatchet to them first..

I don't know why I watch/read the news anymore. My heart aches for these children and what they went through. Oh my God, I could just cry right now!

Maybe it's just me, but I do not understand why this needs to be shared with the public. It was horrific before this information was released. What value is there to this, other than to be a catalyst for some changes to the system that allowed him visitation at all, especially on his own turf where he had the ability to plan and set something up, as opposed to a visit at a restaurant or a public play area.

the fact that he blew up the house would be enough in my eyes to look into system wide changes. the rest of the information is just too much. why give other loonies any ideas?!

I totally agree. It's all about sensationalizing what happened.
