Taste of the Wild (AW - a little...)

Random moment with TOTW...

TOTW has the BEST customer service!

Just for kicks I e-mailed customer service. It was a positive email on how much I (and Rosco cat) were enjoying their product. Not gonna lie - I might have had some ulterior motives and was hoping for a coupon - but still!

Anyway - today I received and e-mail back! It was the nicest letter! They not only used my name but Rosco's as well and the e-mail was obviously written by a real person, not an automated e-mail. I really felt like they cared! I was very impressed!

This gives me more reason to continue feeding TOTW to kitty - now if only I can convince H to buy it for the dogs....

  • That is great! I hope they send a few coupons your way too.

  • If you ask for samples they will send you several!

    Fingers crossed! I love coupons!

I could ask for samples...but, you now,  I don't want to be greedy.  Because I'd want, like, 50 samples...Big Smile

  • Knowing the company intimately, I doubt they send coupons. They RARELY offer coupons (if ever?). Samples, heck yes though!

And yay for them being so great with customers service! I like the company a lot, so I'm glad they treated you well. :)

I know! Coupons are always great! They're just one of those companies that price their food as low as they can, so they don't often offer sales, specials, or coupons. Which is always a bummer!

If you feed their cans, they DO have their sierra mountain (dog) and canyon river (cat) coming out this month, and rumor has it there will be a new dog flavor with some pretty unique proteins coming out later this year! :)

Unfortunately, the don't sell the canned at our store (at least not cats). So I was planning on just feeding Chicken Soup Cans (for Rosco Cat). Hopefully, if they're coming out with new flavors they will begin to carry the cans - I kinda want to feed the same brand for consistency purposes.

  • Consistency isn't necessarily really important - rotational feeding is actually great, and moving between brands is totally fine! I'd almost rather see you feed a different brand of a grain-free can than go with Chicken Soup (which is a fine food, by the way. I just prefer GF for cats).

Is it a small local pet shop? You can always either request they special order you a case of canned, or just tell them you'd really like to see them carry it. We like to hear things like that. :)

It's smaller, (Pet Supplies Plus, If you google them they have a website) they do sell the dog canned (if I remember correctly). They have a large store across town, ours is walking distance from our house, so it's convenient. PSP has always been great - so I bet if I asked for a special order they would.

Not sure if they would begin to carry it regularly though. I live in a somewhat lower class area. I've noticed  a lot of the customers buying Meow Mix and Kibbles N' Bits (most recently a Kibbles purchaser had a dog with her, who had obviously just had a litter and several before and I almost died...the lady looked SUPER sketchy).

  • I feed Chicken Soup to my dog and know they carry the wet and dry at PSP since that's the only place to get it around me.

As far as samples go, just ask them to send you different ones if they have different "flavors" so your animals can try them Stick out tongue

  • Yay! I love to hear good things about a company we use.

We just switched our Newf to TOTW after looking for a fish based food. The difference has been incredible. Her runny eyes have cleared up completely and her ears have been noticeably better.

And the price is great - we get the big sacks delivered from Petfooddirect.
