Besides the heart shaped crayons...
what other "crafty" things are you doing for your kid's classmates?
Re: Besides the heart shaped crayons...
this is Griffin's this year
I have found a few cute things on Pinterest. I am either doing the goldfish or teddy grahams this year for my Kindergarteners. I have done the crayons before but when you have between 30 and 40 kids it can be a lot.
I saw packages of glow sticks and glow bracelets in Targets dollar spot a few weeks ago. I think I saw a pin at somepoint (but didn't pin it) that says something like you make my heart glow. Those are cute!

Ryan's class is making these, well me really since I am the class mom LOL they assemble :-)
Approx Cost:60 packets hot choc (BJ's) 5.99Mini marshmallows(BJ's) 3.99 (may be 2.99, I can't remember)Mini bags for marshmallows 1.00 (40 count at Dollar Tree)Treat bags 1.00 (25 count at Dollar Tree)As for red solo cups, construction paper, ribbon, foam hearts or stickers...I am guessing most of us might have some of that already. You are looking at around $12 before possible cost of cups and "extras", but still would probably be pretty reasonable. Not trying to confuse the issue, just wanted to offer another idea in case the other is stressing too many people out
Attached are some pics of the "craft".
we got a note saying no candy or sweets will be allowed.
I am secretly happy.
However I threw away the made-in-China lollipops I got for $2.50 at CVS and instead printed REALLY cute free cards off a site I found (i linked it on FB). REALLY cute.
I'd do the crayon thing but I don't have a silicon mold and I am not buying one...so all the kids get are my free printed out cards. LOL.
we were told the same by the teacher today at dropoff.

There's a template for it and I printed it out on red cardstock...If I get the googly eyes it'll be a miracle though
These were Aaron's last year:
"Have a silly & sweet Valentine's Day. Your friend, Aaron"
This year I found pre packaged gummy packets so he's giving those. Had I not I may have done these:

"glad we're in the same school"
I love PA, we are doing cupcakes and strawberries and a "Partners in Crime" game. A basic guess who I am like headbandz but with all kids of couples, Peanut Butter and Jelly, socks and shoes, mom and dad, Batman and Robin, Spongebob and Patrick, Spaghetti and Meatballs etc etc
We get away with a lot. Thinning of the herd I guess :-)
Me too. Our store-bought valentines come with pencils. That's as exciting as it gets around here.
Thank you for posting! I have 2 boxes of leftover valentines from the last 2 years that we are reusing!!! Cars and animals...at least I'll make him write his own name on them this year!
i'm lame too. G picked out princess cards and that's it. We were told they need to just be cards with nothing attached because they made mailboxes to put them in and they need to fit in the slot.
Too many kids for me to get crafty! Box if princess cards with castle lollipop
I know you can't do candy, but we've gotten mostly paper cards or cards and stickers/tattoos

Glad I am not alone. I am so not crafty and really don't have the time. We are happily sending in Dinosaur cards.
Me three! Our store-bought cards come with heart-shaped lolipops.
