They spent all day in court and didn't finish.  The judge had a half day available tomorrow or Thursday but the two lawyers didn't have availability that overlapped with the judge.  So, they couldn't get it scheduled until May. 

But my mom's lawyer said it went really well.    (He originally thought it would be a 1/2 day hearing, so that's why I was pretty worried this afternoon.)

Thank you for posting.  I think it would be hard not to get an answer until May for an answer, but I hope it's worth the wait.

I'm amazed that they will put people's lives on hold like that. There really isn't any time before then?  I don't understand but hope that the result is one that favors your mother.

 It's been going on much longer than this.  Court was originally last summer but xH dodged being served so it had to be continued.  The first available date was after that was yesterday.   

The whole thing just sucks on so many levels.
