Hey I know you recently got your Michigan DL and plates. I am going this week to do the same and just wanted to check with you to make sure there wasn't anything odd that I would need to get it done? Thanks

Well, I got the enhanced license- I just needed my birth cert, soc sec card, NY license, and proof of address- I brought a ton because I wasn't sure how many I needed.
For the registration, I think I needed proof of address and the title (?), and proof of insurance- I think I needed the insurance cards that showed MI no fault (but I didn't end up having them somehow and they gave it to me anyhow- when I renewed my registration they questioned how I was able to register my car in the first place because my insurance screwed up).
I was also able to do my husbands car without him there- I just needed him to fill out a form that he printed off from the SOS site.
