OK, we get it...

Animal abuse is bad.  Child abuse is bad.  But please, dear FB friends.... I do not need to be bombarded with pictures of such abuse.  It turns my stomach, both physically and emotionally, and sometimes I just don't want to deal with that at 10am in the morning...

  • I am all for promoting causes, but graphic pics are not needed. Ok, I get it. Your kid is potty training. Please spare me the details on FB.

  • Okay, we get it.  Your house is awesome, your husband is awesome, your baby is awesome, you don't do anything with your life all day but post Instagram shots of whatever it is you're doing (like, feeding the dog).  I think you have social media overload.  Pls. stop clogging my newsfeed.

  • (This is preemptive, but you know it's coming.)

OK, we get it.  This guy sucks, that guy sucks, all the other candidates suck and I should not vote for them.  But tell me why I should vote for you?

  • another FB rant - I know you're excited about being pregnant.  No issues with that.  But daily countdowns until your next ultrasound?  EVERY FREAKING status update somehow related to the upcoming birth of your child?

We get it.  You're having a baby.  No one cares as much as you do.

    You've been hidden.

ETA: fixed typo.  That is now permanent since Megan quoted me. *shakes fist*

Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
  • I just might be on a roll with this one today.  This is more directed at a specific persona in my life.

We get it.  You stay at home with your child and sell skin care products.  You rave every day on FB and in real life about how "blessed" you are to have this opportunity to be in a wonderful business and to stay home with your child.

I think you're full of it.  The more you say how wonderful your life is, the more I think you're miserable and just don't want to admit it.

  • OK I get it -- you're having your second baby.  FB doesn't care about every kick, punch, or backache you have.  See, you've been through this already.  No one is going to give you sympathy for going through it all again, ESPECIALLY those of us who don't believe you should be having this baby in the first place.

  • Ok, I get it - You're bitter and single. Please stop posting things about how horrible the institution of marriage is. You've never been married. You don't get it.

....aaand that would be me. But it's okay. I'm pretty darn proud that my 19 month old is already starting to get it so I will share it with the world :)

Totally.  The more you rave about how great your life is, how much you love your husband, what a wonderful man he is, etc, the more I'm convinced that all is not so happy in your world and you are either overcompensating for something awful you did, or trying to convince yourself that things really are THAT great.

I  thought of  you when I saw that, Kelly. I used to think it was silly to post stuff like that on FB, but I'm pretty sure when that day comes, I might be guilty of it as well. It's a big deal. At least it's not an hourly update or talking specifics.

I also second the abuse pictures, not a great way to start off a morning...

Ok I get it, it's your birthday, but I had to drive around the parking lot of Applebee's for 10 minutes to keep Jesse asleep because you were late to your own dinner...
