I was doing well handling sleep depravation for the first 12w, so much better than w/Teagan b/c I knew the feeling of getting through it. Then at 3 months I started to hit a wall and really had a hard time getting up at night, but talked myself through it b/c I know it really wasn't that bad getting up once a night and I thought the end was in sight. 2 weeks ago she started sleeping great, barely getting up, going back to sleep on her own in a couple minutes if she did get up. I was elated for the 5 days it lasted. Then she went back to getting up like before, and now this week she went back to the newborn stage and isn't sleeping more than 2-3 hours at a time and I'm up for about 1.5 hours each time. This morning I actually felt annoyed at her, which is a sign that the lack of sleep is really affecting me. Ugh. I hope she learns to roll over soon since that seems to be what she wants to do when I put her down in the crib at night. She rolled belly to back on saturday a couple times, but nothing since.
Daytime is a piece of cake even though she sucks at napping because she's generally happy. I just need sleep at night. I can't wait for friday night when I can ask DH for help if I need it.

Re: The no sleep thing is starting to get to me
My kid was never a great sleeper (which is why we bedshare) but, maybe it's that 4 month wakeful period that the bumpies talk about??
Just remember... this too shall pass....
It could be the 4 month thing. I was spoiled w/Teagan b/c at this age she was sttn every night.
Liz, I'm not doing solids just yet. She was 15 lbs 7 oz last week so breast milk is plenty for her and my gut tells me she's not ready developmently yet. I'm thinking next month.

Hang in there & yes, ask for help from your husband. We are currently going through teething hell with Tristan who goes to bed at 7:30/8 and been waking at 11:30, 3, 5... some nights I have been bringing into our bed but last night I put a stop to it. He woke at 11:30 and again at 2:45. The first time he went back to sleep pretty fast but at 2:45 we had some issues. I desparately need sleep. Brian & Gavin currently have a stomach virus, I have a terrible head cold & sleep is just a total requirement right now! Thankfully my husband told me I could take Friday night "off" and sleep in our guest room. Not sure if that is going to work but I will try it.
Hang in there.....
