I supposed I should believe dd1 when she tells me that *everyone* up there smokes and when she was thinking about her few friends the other day and that they aren't really very well liked/popular, what seperates them out is that none of them do smoke (have tried it and don't like it basically.)  So glad she broke up with the bf she dated for 2.5 yrs, guess he deals it too.

I never really noticed a problem when I was in high school but I had friends who didn't smoke and I never did either. I was a little sheltered but I could only imagine that it has gotten worse in the 8 years since I have been there. There really isn't a whole lot else for kids to do up there though, thats why I hated living there in HS.

We've decided that our neighbors are growers, and grow A LOT.  I'm sick about it, I don't like knowing that it's going on so close to my house.  They have two huge dogs and have parties every other week.

So far, it's the only drawback to living up there

Wow... not to sound like a total old lady, but man has it changed since my day!

There were potsmokers there when I was in HS, but it wasn't nearly as prevalent!

oh no!  I would not be too happy about that either.
