What to make for Valentine's Day?
H and I want to stay in and cook dinner for Valentine's day. We have a ton of cookbooks to look through to get ideas, but I'm wondering what ideas you ladies have.
We keep a kosher home (so no shellfish or pork and we can't combine meat & dairy). We usually make fish, but we're open to other ideas. And it can be something we can start prepping the night before so it doesn't take too long to cook after work.
Re: What to make for Valentine's Day?
I wish I could help, but my ideas all either include shellfish (shrimp, scallops) or combines meat and dairy! (steak with decadent cheese sauce, etc.)
My one idea might beef bourguignon, which I think it really really yummy. It does have butter -- is that considered dairy while keeping kosher?

Another option might be coq au vin, try Julia Child's recipe.
