T&Ps for Old Friend's Dog Please?

A guy I was friends with in high school just posted that he might be losing his best friend in the next few days. His poor dog has Lyme disease and is in kidney failure.
Could you all spare a few T&Ps for Mason that he somehow pulls through? I have no idea what the treatment course for Lyme disease is or at what point the prognosis goes downhill, but it's just heartbreaking to see someone who loves his dog so much potentially lose him through no fault of his own.
