Is shallowford @ I-75 in Chattanooga a safe place?
We're headed to TN tomorrow morning and the weather seems a bit too cold to sleep in a tent tomorrow night so I'm looking for a last minute cheap hotel in the Chattanooga area. I found off of shallowford at I-75 but I don't know if that is a bad area. Does anyone know if this is a safe place? If not, can recommend any good cheap hotels (&safe) in the area?

Yes...that is a very safe part of town...you don't have to worry about that area at all. Just stay away from the Highland Park area of town....and the area around 4th Avenue downtown.
