This is embarrassing, but what's good for memory?
I cannot remember things lately...little things, like a simple 4 digit PIN, or that I posted on a thread here, or I'll look at a thread and immediately forget what I read. I can't contain what books are about...this is so not normal for me whatsoever.
I had to really think about my birthday the other day and it's hard to remember if I even ate. It's just stupid things, but I just can't retain things. Sometimes I can't even remember how to spell things...like, I know how to spell it, but I can't figure out how to type it out, so I end up spelling it wrong.
Is there an herb or something that I should be taking to boost my memory?
Re: This is embarrassing, but what's good for memory?
Yeah, try Ginkgo biloba vitamins.
Great, thank you!!
This, and St. John's Wort.
My advice would actually be be to log things you are forgetting so that you can keep track of it. It could be partly due to your routine change, but you don't want to mess around with that. If it increases, I'd suggest getting checked out as a precaution.
St. John's Wort negatively interacts with some meds- just check with your pharm before using.
An American Girl's Travels
I'm starting to makes notes, but the problem is that I'll forget that I made a note.
I definitely need to see the doctor, especially because I'm prone to migraines, and I've had more of them and they are getting worse.
After the last post - please! see a dr! this could be serious.
I'd be so upset if you weren't taking care of my Otter!
Ginko is great for memory as well as a sufficient amount of Omega 3 (3,000 IU) and B complex vitamins.
If you have noticed a sudden change in memory I need to suggest to seek out your PCP and let him or her know these issues.
I've called and made a doctor's appointment
I'll see the doctor in a couple of weeks and we'll see what's going on with my body...between the left arm and hand not working correct, the pain that happens almost 24/7, the memory issues and the migraines, I don't think I should play around anymore.
Dammit. Denial is so much more comfortable
Angry, I will for sure keep you updated...thanks, Lucky
I'm sure a lot of the problem is that my brain is just not as active as it was when I was in MI, because my job required me to think a lot...I bet my brain is just getting lazy
The doctor will figure it out and we'll all have a good laugh over it!
The spelling thing doesn't concern me so much but some of the other stuff does. Even in this very thread, I typed too fast and misspelled vitamins the first time around and I even reread the sentence and it looked right before I hit post. I thought I might have edited and fixed it before someone quoted me, but nope, I got caught. I think the spelling thing gets everyone, I jumble up letters and words on occasion, too.
