As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

No, that wasn't it, or at least that's not what we've heard.
That pic was likely due to someone using a pic in their siggy from a site that wasn't theirs. Most likely the owner of that site wanted to conserve his/her bandwith, and used that...ahem...special picture as a means to deter others from linking directly to pics on their site.
The notice you see at the top is because (again, what we've heard) someone actually uploaded rather graphic images of child pornography into the community pages. (at times like this I wish chrome would let me use some of the icons on here) The Knot/Nest/Bump is fully investigating the latter and will be working with law enforcement.

OK thank you. I saw the penis siggy and I agree, the poster was probably not aware about this. And everyone was sort of laughing about it. And the guy was wearing scrubs so it seems like he was a medical professional and not a kid.
ETA: oh wait, those pictures were submitted to the nest/bump picture galleries so it's not someone posting them in a post or in a sig.
Apparently they were very graphic and disturbing. I hope they catch the sicko! The FBI takes this stuff very seriously.
