Jim&Jamie, Disney info!

My family has a share in the Disney Vacation club, so we've been there dozens of times. But my husband and I are now starting to plan our trips without having to rely on my mom. I've found a bunch of great money saving sites, if you're interested!

Also, I'd totally stay on property if money allowed! The transportation can't be beat, the hotels have such a great vibe and you get free transportation from the airport! :)

Re: Jim&Jamie, Disney info!

  • Can you post any of those sites so I could store them away? We and my sister & her husband all want to go to Disney next year or the year after.

  • Sure!

Mousesavers is a great one that has tons of tips and suggestions on how to save money throughout Disney. I think it's just Mousesavers.com but a quick google search can tell you for sure.

There is also the Disney YES program (Youth Education Services) which allows you to buy seriously discounted park passes. http://www.disneyyouth.com/youth-education-series/ You have to sign up to take a class and then you get the discounts. But the classes, if you look, are awesome. Interacting with animals, ocean studies at the Living Seas. All kinds of awesome stuff!

And then, the big one that I think is SO beyond awesome. Buying Vacation Club member points for super discounted hotel rates. www.dvcrequest.com/  This allows you to buy Vacation Club member points. A week's stay at the Yacht and Beach Club typically costs upward of $2,500. But if you use this site and buy the points, you can stay for under $1,500. It's all the Vacation Club hotels, so you can choose from the Bay Lakes Tower, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge Villas, Old Key West, Saratoga Springs and the Animal Kindgom Lodge.

We've stayed before at Old Key West and Saratoga Springs. Both are nice but don't give you that real Disney feel. If you're going with kids, I'd totally do the Boardwalk! It's awesome for the pool alone! :)

    Hope this helps! :)

  • Bring 'em on!

Overwhelming doesn't even begin to describe the options.

  • I know! There are too many choices, but once you get there it's amazing! We're shooting for October and it honestly can't come fast enough! :)

You've worked with this site and it's totally legit? Seems a little too good to be true?
