Is chicken tikka masala or curry gluten-free?

We're having our niece and her friend (who is gluten-free) over Saturday night. We're thinking of taking them to Indian food restaurant.

Not sure if there is any flour/gluten in either chicken tikka masala or curry?

  • I'd call the restaurant and ask if they have any GF menu items...every recipe is a little different.

Ditto. If you were making it at home I'd say it can easily be GF but since it's a restaurant you just don't know.

  • We always ask. Chefs can make even classic GF meals with gluten. We once asked about mashed potatoes at a place (never usually have issues) and found-out that the chef added chicken stock to the potatoes, and like most stock it was thickened with flour.
My darling daughter just turned 4 years old.
