Just a little update
Figured I'd share what little update I have on our lives 
. DH still hasn't heard anything from WA (which is way weird, since they were super responsive before), but is hopefully testing for CO Dept of Corrections in the next 2 weeks, and is in the last stages of interviewing for an investigator job which he is pretty sure he'll be offered. It's not a great job, but it's salaried (VERY unusual for investigators - most are case by case), and the company is stable and offers decent benefits. And it's easier to find a job when you have a job, right?
I talked to a friend yesterday who maybe had a lead on a part time opportunity that would be awesome. It probably won't happen for a bit yet, but if it works out it really would be perfect, so my fingers are crossed.
I know it's a huge IF, but if both things work out, we'd totally be ok - we'd be able to pay our bills without worry and actually save something each month. While nothing is final yet, I'm feeling like we're slowly climbing up from rock bottom, which is good enough for right now.
