With Dorothy, I believe sparkles was a good friend of hers in real life (sparkles passed away several months ago--and forgive me but I can't recall her full nest name, maybe sparklestastic or something like that). So the loss of her husband followed not too long after by the loss of a friend is a very sad double whammy.
I believe all the drama with oupinkkitty was that she had never mentioned that her DH had a child from a previous relationship, and she vented about how they had spent a lot of time, energy and money trying to be in the child's life, but the hosebeast of an ex (which was not even a serious relationship to my recollection) was intent on limiting their time with the child or sabotaging the relationship. So oupinkkitty was venting about maybe wanting to give up the fight and just letting the kid have very little time with his/her father. That's my recollection, but I was involved only at the very end. I think it might also have had to do with child support vs. time they got to see the kid. It was something like that.
Oh, I didn't realize Dorothy and Sparkletastic were friends IRL. I know that Autumn was very close to Sparkles....ugh that is so horrible.

LMAO!! Actually, it was her whole shopping trip... Just sooo fvcked up.
She was in the checkout line and dropped something heavy-ish (I want to say bottle of mouthwash?) on her LO's head and got all pissy because the cashier was all "WTF???" (didn't actually say anything, just looked at her funny). Then once she was out to her car she realized that she forgot to pay for a couple of things (must have been under the infant carrier) and decided that since the cashier looked at her funny that she was *owed* those couple of items. And THEN to top it all off, she let her cart roll into another vehicle (hard enough that it chipped paint IIRC) and didn't bother to leave a note.
I may have some details wrong but that is what/how I remember it. She got flamed up one side and down the other and couldn't see that just *maybe* she fvcked up and kept trying to justify everything because she was tired. (Um, if you're *that* tired, you shouldn't be behind the wheel, period.)
She's over on MM. I see her on P&CE sometimes too.
Geez...I miss all the good stuff! Wow, just wow.
Snail was a completely different person...she was also MrsAMB (or something like that) before she was snail.
She was accused of lying about all sorts of things (including having a baby) and GBCN. People thought that pictures she posted of her baby were not of her baby and that her whole profession was made-up.
And you've sent up the bat-signal for The Poster Who Totes Isn't Snail Posting Under A Different Screen-name to come and defend her!
Not really poor Nat she is doing the same exact thing with her new "soulmate" as she did with H #1.
oh well...it's been pretty boring around here lately so we could use some silly drama.

Also, does Dave Chapelle think of her every time he tokes up?
This is not at all as I remember it.
The way I recall it was, she was dating Oumancat, and a ways into the relationship some ex of his came out of the woodwork like "oh, hi, you have a son." Oumancat didn't particularly want to be a dad at that time, and didn't want any sort of custody, so he just pays his child support check and leaves it at that. There was afterward a debate on whether men should get a choice in fatherhood after the fact like women have a choice about motherhood.

OUPINKKITTY WAS A BITTCH! THAT THOUGHT SHE WAS BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE. SHE WAS NOT NICE,AT ALL.
I thought for sure he was pushing for visitation at least hence "all the money" that they spent and didn't get anywhere with it.
I could also be totally wrong but I thought that's what all the hub-bub was about - that he wasn't fighting harder, that they shouldn't give up.
The Kuus story of oupinkkitty actually makes sense to me give her personality. I would bet she didn't want no stinkin kid around to mess up her pretty Lexus and designer clothes.
At the same time, my gut tells me it just ate at her to have to pay for the kid anyway.
Well hell, can you blame her? She picked a guy with no kids and no baggage, and started a relationship and fell in love and got all invested, and then WHAM! everything she didn't want and deliberately avoided showed up. I'd be pissed, too.

I would, too. I can see why many people wouldn't, because it's not like he lied or anything, but yeah.
I defer to your superior memory. I did have some things right. Like a kid was involved. And money. And visitation issues.
