I'm only to the point where she's finished in Michigan and is looking at that abandoned French bistro and she's just so irritating. I wanted to throw something at her through her 40-page description of exactly what happens behind the scenes of fancy catered affair. Her tone is entirely offputting. Very "Everyone thinks they're so cultured, but believe me, when I made blah blah soup for the King of Macedonia's daughter's wedding ..."
And she keeps talking about how she raised herself, yet doesn't even make a passing mention of how she paid for her alternative high school or private college tuition. Scholarships aren't THAT readily available, honey.
