Who has a pair (s)? I really want them, but some of the reviews on the website scare me. I've read a lot that said they fall apart pretty quick? I'm going to be pissed if I spend that much money on a pair of shoes and they are crap.(yea, more than $20 is considered a lot to me. LOL! )
Do any of the stores in Omaha that sell them have sales on them? Or do any of the places have them priced cheaper than others? Doubt it, but figured I would ask!
Re: Toms
Only places that sell them in Omaha that I know of are Roots & Wings (where I got mine) and as of a few months ago Periwinkles at Village Pointe and Pinkie Winks, their sister store behind Nobbies on 120th & Center.
I have two pairs of TOMS, both flats. One pair are Cords, one sequin pair. The sequin I debated on because a few girls here said those and the glitter ones do tend to 'fall apart', meaning glitter and sequin fall off them and I have noticed silver sequins on the floor around the house when I wear them. I probably wouldn't buy them again because of that and the cost, but I won them so they were free so I'm not that upset about it. I rarely wear them out though..mostly at home or sometimes to work on casual day.
I also have a black cord pair of BOBS, which are the Sketcher knock off of TOMS and honestly can't tell the difference between them and my TOMS cords, except for the tag on the back that says BOBS. ..I got those for $20. I wear them to the spa all the time on the weekends when I'm working longer shifts. The TOMS are red, and they are just fun.
I don't have any just 'plain' canvas ones, as I sort of thought just by looking at them they wouldn't hold up as nice as the cords, especially if you wore them a lot?
Roots & Wings does have random 30% off TOMS sales, they just had one a few weeks ago..not sure how often though..but they have a massive inventory there!
I think TOMS just has better patterns, different colors, etc. I'm loving the LOVE ones Roots & Wings are getting in of the TOMS next week...I already told them to hold me a pair! They are all so dang comfortable!
If you're looking for warmth and/or quality, TOMS are not it. If you're looking for comfy and trendy, they are.
I have a sequins pair (which I never wear anymore because they're trashed) and a canvas pair. I would highly suggest the canvas over the sequins.
When I buy a pair, I split the cost in half in my head 'cause I figure I'm actually buying two pairs of shoes.I have 2 pairs- I would suggest the canvas. Maren had a pair of glitter ones and I have heard that their quality is much worse than the canvas (Maren's soles actually detached after a month.) There is a shoe store at Oakview that sells them too- Trade something.... On the top floor. I think they are comfortable but not going to last forever.
I bought mine in a 9 and thought they ran small. I have the navy pair. I just saw someone had some really super cute knock offs... but for the life of me... I can't remember where I was. I'll try to think of it

I have these: http://www.toms.com/navy-canvas-classics-shoes-1832 http://www.toms.com/womens/classics/valentine-women-s-classics
And I love them. I'd buy every color (twice), for even double the price. I wear a 7.5 in most shoes and I had to get these in an 8. They seem narrow at first but they stretch to your feet in almost no time. They're more than worth the money and if it wasn't for the weather in Omaha at times, I'd wear them 365 days a year.
Younkers and Shoe Carnival sell the BOBS.
I have a red canvas paid - given to me as a gift. I don't wear them a ton so they're in good shape...I think the canvas ones last pretty well compared to some other fabrics. Blythe has a couple of pairs and the kids shoes are awesome - they stand up to wear and tear really well. She had a pair a couple of sizes ago, too, and they were great.
I really want a pair of the ballet flats but GAH they're expensive!
TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
One of my coworkers has them and says they are SO uncomfortable!!
