Switching to milk question
I took DS in for his one-year check earlier this week and talked with our ped about making the switch from formula. She said that the AAP is changing its tune on whole milk and is saying that toddlers should be drinking whatever their family drinks, even skim. I trust our doc completely, but wondered if any of you had gotten this information recently. We drink 1%, but would certainly buy whole for DS if its still better for him.
Side note: He's between 50th and 75th percentile for weight, which she did mention when talking about the switch...so maybe its also based on where they fall on this "chart?"
Re: Switching to milk question
Ditto this.
We haven't had the 1 year check but we started to move from formula to whole and in talking to my daycare provider, she stated the state has instructed daycare providers to not give babies vitamin D but 2% or 1% so she asked me to talk to the doc.
I bought S just a small thing of Vitamin D until we talk to our Pedi.
