It's about time for a camera upgrade. We've been fairly happy with our point-and-shoot (Canon Powershot), it's easy to use (point and shoot
), and the color quality is good. However, not surprisingly, the flash isn't very strong, so it's not very good at dusk/night.
Looking to upgrade to something a little better for H for V-Day. Nothing too complicated, I mean the man can read a manual/watch an instructional dvd
, but he (me too, fwtm) can get overwhelmed with billions of choices and settings. So somewhere between point and shoot and holy hell I could launch nuclear weapons with this sucker quality.
Appreciate any recommendations or do-not buys! TIA!
Re: Photographers...
I have a Cannon D60 that is right in between. I love the pictures that it takes and while I did have to read a Cannon D60 for dummies to work it, it is pretty much a fancy ass point and shoot until you figure out how to use all the crap you need to use.
It sounds like you are looking for a bridge camera, so a step up from a point and shoot, but not a dslr.
I'm not a pro, by any means, and so take my suggestion with a grain of salt, but I've always been really happy with my Panasonic camera. Here's a link to the Which guide { sort of like consumer reports } for the best bridge.
