DH and I are going to a dinner party with an Italian theme and we've been asked to bring a dessert. The first thing that comes to mind is tiramisu, but I have never made it before and really have no idea what would go into making it. I have a lot of work this wekkend, so I'm hoping to find something simple. Would a tub of gelato (or however you spell it) be cheating?
Any ideas or trusted recipes?
Thanks!
Re: Italian dessert?
i havea recipe that i got while making it in a cooking class in tuscany a few years ago and it's spectacular and authentic. it's eggs, pavesini cookies, sugar, etcc... not difficult but it can be time consuming. you can make it the night before as it needs time to chill anyway.
when is the party?
Tomorrow at 6. That sounds amazing!

Mmmm, Italia. Nothing says Italia like gelato to me.
My most favorite flavor is this Creamy Lemon Gelato. I seriously need to make a batch since my meyer lemons are busting at the seams.
Panna Cotta? Super easy and only a few ingredients.
