Ladies I need your opinions please. I have a stupid cold and am thinking about taking some cold meds. Here's my thing...there is a slight chance that I could be pg. So, should I suck it up and not take anything or do I take the meds since I won't know for at least another week?
Re: Help please
What kind of cold is it? Sore throat, stuffiness, all around achy?
Maybe try some natural remedies first. For sore throat, warm up some water and mix in some cinnamon, honey, and fresh squeezed lemon. If it's congestion, try holding your head over a boiling pot of water.
If you still need some relief, maybe just take some Tylenol.
Hopefully it goes away soon!

Yeah, what are your symptoms?
My doc has cleared things like Sudafed for stuffy/runny nose and congestion, Tylenol for whatever aches and cough drops are okay, just look for the most natural ingredients and no artificial sweeteners.
If you're concern about taking any of that there's always the neti pot and lots of fluids!
Per my doctor, Sudafed and Tylenol Cold are okay to take - although I'm not sure if that's true in 1st tri since I was further along when I asked him. You can also go with a saline nasal spray or a neti pot. Honestly, you would probably be okay to take anything this early if you don't overdo since you don't share blood with the baby until several weeks along, but I get wanting to be cautious.
Thanks Lori! That's kinda what I was thinking too. I read somewhere that drinking before you know you are pg is ok, just don't continue after your BFP. I still haven't taken anything, so maybe I will take something this afternoon. I really just want to able to breathe again.
