weekend plans

Since it's FINALLY friday I need some inspiring weekend plans to help today go quicker!

This is the first weekend DH and I are both home, I'm not working any shifts this weekend and DH doesn't have anything planned with the guys.  I told him we're going to spend all day away from the house - otherwise I fear I'll do housework or something else boring :)

so what's everyone got planned?

Re: weekend plans

  • tonight: pulled pork for dinner, making these blondies, shooting/blogging the recipe, and probably a little laundry.

tomorrow: sleeping in, newseum (running out of time for our groupon!), and then DH's b-day party

sunday: gym, wrapping DH's b-day gifts while he runs errands, then making a big batch of amatriciana sauce for dinner/freezer

    happy friday!!

  • TGIF!!!!

Tonight - date night with the hubby since he was gone the past two weekends.

Tomorrow - laundry, pedicure/manicure, shopping with my sister to get stuff for Vegas in two weeks!

Sunday - helping with the last day of sorority recruitment all day at U of Maryland.

  • Tonight- Leftover chicken cacciatore for dinner, painting my nails, maybe making DH a coupon book for V-day, catching up on reading.

Tom.- Going to the National Museum of the American Indian for their chocolate festival, plus there's an exhibit on the Quileutes I want to see. Here's the link for the chocolate festival: http://www.nmai.si.edu/subpage.cfm?subpage=events&trumbaEmbed=view%3Dseries%26seriesid%3D626823

Sunday- Church, grocery shopping, not sure what else.

  • tonight: DH is coming to meet me at school, then we are going out for a few drinks before heading to my school's PTA's annual fundraiser.  They like teachers to make an appearance, so that should be fun.

tomorrow:  DH might be brewing in the morning.  I will probably catch up on the DVR and relax/read.  In the evening we are headed to Mad Fox's barleywine festival which should be delicious.

sunday: recovery (possibly), then just relaxing at home, catching up on housework, etc.  We have to think of a Sunday cooking project for this week.  Maybe a nice short rib dish.

  • We're trying to get out of house, but not into the cold weather. Our weekend is full of kid-friendly activities.

Today: I already did my 10-mile run this morning to get it out of the way. Tonight we're having dinner at home and then catching up on Tivo shows.

Saturday: Hopefully going to Baltimore to check out Port Discovery and grab lunch somewhere.

Sunday: Go for a run in the morning, some quick errands, and then maybe check out the Trolley Museum. The kid is really into transportation right now.
