The hubs wants to grill steaks for dinner. What should have with them?
Re: dinner ideas?
my new "thing" is mashed potato and cauliflower. it is soooo yummy, and not as heavy, so you can eat more of it. less carbs, more nutrients.
i'd have this, plus some sort of roasted/broiled veggies....broccoli, asparagus, carrots, and/or bell pepper.

Roasted veggies and a salad sound good. Maybe I'll get some shrimp too.
Can it please be the end of the day and after my workout already!!! My legs were too sore to lift weights yesterday so I had to push it to today. It's going to take some serious willpower to spend that much time at the gym on a Friday night!
You can also do it with potatoes and parsnips.
Mmm, so many things go well with steak. I kind of want steak, but we're having that on V-Day.
Tonight's dinner is something I've seen on pinterest, a loaf of artisan bread cut up and then sprinkled over with cheese and other random things?
And then to accompany that snack will be homemade butter chicken. Yum.
yes, and it's delicious!

eip - recipe for glazed sunchokes? We've had them twice now. First time was good, second time H distracted me so instead of a light 2 minute boil, they got a 4-6 minute boil and the salad was not so good.
MMm...I love braising mix from Full Circle Farms - it's a mix of baby dark greens, whatever is growing at the time, of chard, kale, mustard greens, etc. Chop half an onion, cook with some olive oil over medium heat until onions are translucent, throw in rinsed greens and a little more olive oil if you need and toss occasionally for about 5 minutes, then add a tbl or 2 of water and a sprinkling of salt and cover for another 4-5 minutes to get perfectly cooked but not remotely slimey or mushy. Bonus - use flavored olive oil.
I'm just going to go ahead and state the obvious and be of absolutely *no* help whatsoever, but the clear answer to me is a bottle of good red wine. Which, to my untrained palate, is pretty much any red wine.
